5 thousand people participated in walkathon
Pragativahnin News, Belagavi – The 3d walkathon was organised by Adore family Belgaum and various social organizations of the city.
The purpose of the program was to spread the diet plan of Dr Jaganath Dixit for a healthy life. The walkathon started from the premises of Rpd College on September 15, at 7am.
About 4 to 5 thousand people participated in this walkathon.
At the beginning of the program, heroic wife Nita Ashok Chogule of Manur who donated her husband’s organs after his accidental death in the army, was honored by DCP Seema Latkar. At that time, the entire citizens became very emotional and thunderbolts of greeting greeted the brave wife. Also, DCP Seema Latkar was honored by Bimba Nadkarni.
Speaking on the occasion, DCP Seema Latkar praised the organizers and the people of Belgaum for seeing such a spontaneous response to such a health event.
The program began with Balaram Paramoji he informed about the event and Dr. Shrikant Zichkar’s theory to fight with obesity and diabetes campaign, as well as Dr. Jagannath Dixit contribution to forward the diet plan also explained DRC briefing urged more people to take advantage of this.
Later on, Balachandra Balur informed about the walkathon and explained the rules and safety. This walkathon rally proceeded from Goa Ves to Gogte Circle Congress Road, 3rd Gate to RPD College again.
During the ceremony, the social yoga guru Murli Prabhu, Ramesh Gangur, Raju Dodmani, Yog sevika from the Snehalaya special school Neetu jamnani were honored at the ceremony. 75-year-old Shinde & Sou and Kapil Kalbhairav, who completed the walkathon with their 1.5 year old son on his shoulder, were also honored.
Former Mayor Vijay More, SKE Society’s RD Shanbaug, Dnyanesh Kalghatgi, Bimba Nadkarni, Pandhari Parab, Vinayak Jadhav, Naresh Patil of Snehalaya, Bhalchandra Bailur of Belgaum Adore family, Santosh Mamadapur, Subhash Bhandare, Sheila Sankalp, Balaram Paramoji was present on the dies.
All members of the Adore Pariwar Belgaum, and Jaywant Patil,Vinayak Jadhav, Raju Naik, Satish Patil, Arti Kalghatkar, Vaishali Paramoji took special efforts to make the program a success also participated in Belgaum cyclists group, Snehalaya, Shantai, Giants Men, as well as NCC and NSS groups of GSS, Gogte, Jain, Lingaraj College in the city.
The program ended with the performance of the national anthem by Dr Sonali Chikhalkar and Shreyas Patil on drums and casio.
