Railway minister Suresh Angadi is in the eye of storm after the Kannada organisations are up in arm against him for taking oath in English in the Lok Sabha.
Amid the allegation that Angadi took the oath in English to please the Marathi lobbies, activists of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike burnt his effigy in protest against his alleged anti-Kannada stance. Alleging that he has adopted the anti-Kannada stance since beginning the protesters alleged that Angadi had protested when the MES flag on the Corporation building was removed. Such attitude cannot be tolerated they alleged.
Mahadev Talawar, Ganesh Rokhade, Deepak Gudaganati and others were present.
Meanwhile Ashok Chandaragi a Kannada activist too has expressed dissatisfaction against the move of Angadi and warned that if the minister continues such bias against Kannada language he may lose his minister post.
