LIFE ON BELAGAVI ROADS
I wish to draw your attention towards the poor maintenance of roads in Tilakwadi, Congress Road and Mandoli road.
BELAGAVI is listed in the smart City. But, we are not finding any development of smart city yet. It is shame to see the condition of the roads in areas like Mandoli road, Congress road, Tilakwadi 1st, 2nd and 3rd gate, near Millennium garden and Blooming Buds school near railway over bridge have not yet been repaired pending for a long time.
The condition of the road becomes all the worst during the rainy season. They cause road accidents. People are getting scared for leaving there children’s to school it has become very difficult to drop and pickup them from the school. At night people sometimes stumble down.
The ongoing road construction iron bars are not covered left opened which can cause serious threat to life and damage to vehicles. The potholes on the roads are a major cause of concern. Not only do they slow down the traffic but also cause several accidents. As a result, we have been witnessing huge traffic jams in peak hours.
We have witnessed that the construction work starts during monsoon only or after elections. Why should we vote if there is no development in our city? During monsoons, these potholes become the breeding ground for mosquitoes as they are perpetually filled with water which causes health issues.
Are we people safe on these roads? Are we people safe even wearing helmets on these roads? However, all our efforts requesting to authorities have gone in vain so far. We all are not safe on these roads? Development Authorities have to take major actions on improving the roads and faster development of our city BELAGAVI.
We hope that the authorities will take some concrete action to resolve our issues soon to avoid any incidents happening on these roads. We all want BELAGAVI to be Developed City NOT Developing City.
