ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: “ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂಗೆ ಬುನಾದಿ ಹಾಕಿದ ಪಕ್ಷ ನಮ್ಮದು. ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಧ್ವಜ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆ, ಸಂವಿಧಾನ, ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪಕ್ಷ ನಮ್ಮದು. ಈ ದೇಶದ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಕ್ಷ ನಮ್ಮದು. ಈಗ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ, ಬೇರೆಯವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದೇ ಸಂತೋಷ ನಮಗೆ” ಎಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ದೆಹಲಿಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬುಧವಾರ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂಗೂ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಪ್ರತಿಹಂತದಲ್ಲೂ ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ ಗೀತೆ ಹಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಾವು ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ ಗೀತೆಗೆ ಗೌರವ ನೀಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
“ಎಸ್.ಎಂ.ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಕುವೆಂಪು ವಿರಚಿತ ಜಯ ಭಾರತ ಜನನಿಯ ತನುಜಾತೆ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯಗೀತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ವಜನಾಂಗದ ಶಾಂತಿಯ ತೋಟ ಎಂದು ಇದೆಯಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮದು ಸರ್ವಜನಾಂಗದ ಶಾಂತಿಯ ತೋಟ. ಏನೇನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು, ಯಾವ ಧರ್ಮ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದೆಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇವಲ್ಲ. ಹಿಂದೂ, ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ, ಮುಸಲ್ಮಾನ ಎಂದು ಹಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ರಾಜ್ಯ, ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆದವರು ನಾವು” ಎಂದರು.
ಈಗ ಎರಡು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆಗಳಾಗುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಅದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆನಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡೋಣ” ಎಂದರು.

ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನಿಧಾನವಾದರೂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಡಿ.ಕೆ.ಸುರೇಶ್ ಅವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಕಾಲವೇ ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾವುಗಳು ಏನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂಬುದು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಗೊತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದರು.
ಕಾಲ ಯಾವಾಗ ಬರಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮಯ ನೋಡಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಮಾರ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ. ಇನ್ನು ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಜಂಜಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ. ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ, ಬೇರೆ ವಿಚಾರ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಯಾಕೆ. ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾನು ಮುಂದೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಯ ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ” ಎಂದರು.

New Delhi, Feb 11: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said that it was the Congress party which laid the foundation for the independence movement, national flag, national anthem, Constitution and Vande mataram.
“Ours is a party which got independence and served the country. The BJP is following our footsteps now and we are happy about it,” he said while speaking to reporters at Karnataka Bhawan here.
Asked about the new regulations making Vande mataram mandatory before the national anthem, the DCM said, “We sing Vande mataram before starting any of our programme. We respect that and follow it.”
“During S M Krishna’s time, we made Kuvempu’s Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Thanujaathe as state song. The song talks about a garden of peace for all faiths. The song represents everyone including Hindus, Christians and Muslims. We come from such a land,” he added. Asked about having two national anthems, he said he would talk about it later.

Asked about DK Suresh’s comments that Siddaramaiah would keep his word even if there is a delay, the DCM said, “I have said that time will answer. I have also said that only we know what we have discussed.”
Asked when the time will answer, he quipped, “I will tell you at an appropriate time.”
Asked if he met Priyanka Gandhi, he said, “I went to the Congress party office. I am still caught up in the Assam election work. Why that discussion now? I will speak about it in the future. Time will answer.”
