ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ : ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ನೂತನ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಅಮಿತ ಕೋರೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜರುಗಿದ ನೂತನ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮಿತ ಕೋರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಾರಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಡಾ.ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆ ಅವರು ಸುದೀರ್ಘ 42 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಚೇರಮನ್ರಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾಗತಿಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇಂದು ಆ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಅಮಿತ ಕೋರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ನೀಡಿ ಶುಭ ಕೋರಿದೆ.
1916ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೊಂಡ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದು. ಶಾಲೆಗಳು, ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳು, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 317ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂಗಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಶತಮಾನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ 46ರ ಯುವ ನಾಯಕ ಅಮಿತ್ ಕೋರೆ ಅವರು ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಅಮಿತ ಕೋರೆ ಅವರು ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸೊಸೈಟಿಯ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಆಫ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ 2010ರಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳು, ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲಿಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸಕ್ರಿಯರಾಗಿ, ಮೌಲಿಕ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದವರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅನುಭವ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಅಮಿತ ಸರಳತೆ ಸೌಜನ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾದವರು.
ಅಮಿತ ಕೋರೆಯವರು ಶ್ರೀ ಚಿದಾನಂದ ಬಸಪ್ರಭು ಕೋರೆ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನವದೆಹಲಿಯ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಫೆಡರೇಶನ್ ಆಫ್ ಕೋ-ಆಪರೇಟಿವ್ ಶುಗರ ಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರಿಸ್ನ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಶಿವಶಕ್ತಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರಖಾನೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ, ಹರ್ಮ್ಸ್ ಡಿಸ್ಟಿಲ್ಲರಿ ಪ್ರೈ.ಲಿ. ನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ, ಇನಾಂದಾರ ಶುಗರ್ಸ್, ಮರಕುಂಬಿಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

1984 ರಿಂದ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ 42 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ದ ಡಾ.ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆಯವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಶ್ರೇಯೋಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಡೆಯಲು 08.02.2026 ರಂದು ಜರುಗಿದ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸರ್ವ ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದೆ.

Belagavi, Feb 20: Amit Kore has been elected as the new Working President of the globally renowned educational institution, Karnataka Lingayat Education Society (KLE). The decision was taken at a meeting of the newly formed Board of Management held at the KLE headquarters, where he was entrusted with the leadership of the institution.
Dr. Prabhakar Kore had served as Chairman for a remarkable 42 years, during which he expanded the institution to global prominence. Today, the Board formally handed over the position to Amit Kore and extended its best wishes.
Founded in 1916, KLE Society is one of India’s leading institutions in education and healthcare. With more than 317 affiliated institutions—including schools, colleges, medical and engineering institutions, and hospitals—the organization has been engaged in socially committed service for over a century. The selection of 46-year-old young leader Amit Kore as Working President of such a vast institution is considered significant.
Amit Kore has been serving as a member of the KLE Society Board of Management since 2010. He has played an active and meaningful role in administrative decisions, expansion plans, and shaping the institution’s long-term vision. Alongside his contributions to the education sector, he also has experience in the industrial field and is known for his simplicity and courteous nature.
He previously served as Chairman of the Shri Chidanand Basaprabhu Kore Sugar Factory and is currently a Director there. He is also Vice President of the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories in New Delhi, Director of Shivashakti Sugar Factory, Managing Director of Hermes Distillery Pvt. Ltd., and Managing Director of Inamdar Sugars, Markumbi.
Dr. Prabhakar Kore Appointed Honorary Working President
Having served as Working President of KLE since 1984 for 42 years and taken the institution to global heights, Dr. Prabhakar Kore has now been appointed Honorary Working President at the General Body meeting held on 08-02-2026 so that the institution can continue to benefit from his guidance for its future growth.
