Pragativahini News, BELGAVI – In view of the Covid pandemic , installation of an oxygen pipeline for the benefit of patients, at the Civil Hospital, Belgaum was essential. With this in mind , the Rotary E Club of Dist. 3170 , Belgaum came up with a proposal to install the same.
After discussions with the concerned authorities , Rotary E Club came up with a project report and submitted it to The Rotary Foundation which was approved. This project was a joint project with the Rotary Club of Sirsi , who wanted to install equipments like ventilators at the Sirsi Critical Hospital , Sirsi. The total cost of the project was Rs. 29,00,000 approx. Several Rotary Districts and Clubs all over the world happily came forward to participate in the programme.
The Rotary Foundation approved of the project and after completing all the formalities , the amount was received. The Rotary Club of Sirsi carried out the installation at Sirsi and the Rotary E Club of Belgaum implemented the project at the Civil Hospital , Belgaum and an oxygen pipeline along with other equipment’s was installed.
The equipment was handed over to the Civil Hospital at a function held on the 15th of April 2021. Immediate Past Dist. Governor of Dist 3170 ,Rtn. Dr. Girish Masurkar was the chief guest along of Dr. Vinay Dastikop,Director, BIMS. Pres. of Rotary E Club Rtn. Nagtilak Ganikop welcomed the gathering and Chairperson of the project , Rtn. Renu Kulkarni explained the details of the project . Past Pres . Rtn. Prakash Phadnis told about the urgent necessity of the pipeline.Dr. Vinay Dastikop expressed his gratitude to the Rotary E Club for installing the pipeline and assured to make full use of the same. Past Dist. Rtn. Girish Masurkar congratulated the Rotary E Club for taking up this project and told how actively the Rotary Foundation had participated in such projects throughout the world. Past Pres.Rtn. Narasinha Joshi , was instrumental in getting the foreign partners through his contacts. Past Presidents , Rtn. Anil Gudi , Rtn. Prakash Mirji , Incoming Pres. Anant Nadgouda , Rtn Pramod Hanamgond , Rtn. Manisha Adav , Rtn. Sagar Waghmare were present. Sec. Kavita Kanaganni proposed the vote of thanks.
