Pragatativahini News, Hubballi – Arvind Malkhede has assumed the charge of Divisional Railway Manager of Hubballi Division today.
Arvind Malkhede is an officer of Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) of 1991 batch. He has wide experience in Train operations, Commercial Department of the Railways and General Administration posts in Railways.
He has also worked on deputation to Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and IRCTC. Prior to joining as Divisional Railway Manager of Hubballi, he was working as Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger Marketing), Western Railway.
He was Chief Freight Transportation Manager on Northeast Frontier Railway, Guwahati. He has handled freight operations on Central Railway as Dy. COM(Goods) and has held various positions including Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Mumbai Division, Central Railway.
He has also been awarded National Award for Excellence (Minister of Railway’s Award) for his meritorious services while working as Sr. DCM/Mumbai/Central Railway. During the period 2015-2019 for 4 years as GGM/West Zone he headed IRCTC activities over Western parts of the country including areas over Western, Central, West Central Railway and Konkan Railway.
Arvind Malkhede is the recipient of prestigious Chevening Gurukul Scholarship and has undergone leadership development program at London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) in the year 2009. He has also undergone leadership development programmes at INSEAD, Singapore and at ICLIF, Malaysia.
