Belagavi Car Caught Afire Near Amboli Falls, Woman Inside Car Burnt Alive
Pragativahini News, Belagavi : In a bizarre incident, a woman from Belagavi travelling in a car burnt alive and her husband sustained severe burn injuries when the car they were travelling in caught afire while running, near famous tourist spot -Water Falls- at Amboli on Thursday.
Dundappa Padmannavar from Peeranwadi near Udyambhag in Belagavi was traveling to Savantwadi in Maharashtra in a car. He was driving the car, but didn’t fixed the seat belt, while his wife sitting beside him had tied the belt.
The car, said to be wrong electric connection caught afire when it was nearing the water falls. Padmannavar, after noticing smoke in the car went out, however, his wife couldn’t as she was panic with incident and couldn’t remove her seat belt. She burnt alive in the tragedy.
Her husband who has sustained burn injuries admitted at a government hospital at Savantwadi.
