Belagavi Soon Gets Corona Virus Testing Lab, Minister Sriramalu

Pragativahini News, Belagavi – As Belagavi sharing its border with Maharashtra which COVID-19 spreading widely, the Karnataka has decided to establish Coronet Virus Testing Laboratory in Belagavi soon.

Speaking to news persons before attending a meeting of officials at DC office here on Saturday, Health Minister Sriramalu said to avoid delay in getting the test report from Bengaluru the laboratories would be set in all the district headquarter shortly. This would help the department to start treatment early. The laboratory at Belagavi would be started very shortly as neighboring Maharashtra is affected badly and transportation of people between both the states is more.

He said 16 people were found with suspected COVID-19 of which 5 recovered and 3 were discharged from the hospital.About 1.5 lakh people were examined.

Most with the symptoms of the virus have been given treatment at Isolation wards and if they don’t want to to stay at hospital were treating at their houses by creating the system that are at the Isolation wards. If houses were not fit to be converted into Isolations, such are being admitted at the hospitals. The Home Guards are guarding the Isolation wards, he said.

 Road Link Between K’taka-M’rashtra to be Closed

*  All the 15 Roads Connecting Both the States Closed With Immediate Effect 

 To avoid the state be affected with Corona Virus alike, Maharashtra, the state government will close all the 15 roads linking to Maharashtra.
Health minister Sriramalu told news persons that more than 2 lakh people travel between both the states by road,  train and air services. Compared to the state Maharashtra is affected more with the virus and to avoid people of the state be affecting the government with immediate effect close down all the 15 roads linking to Maharashtra.
