Breakdown Govt Bus Runs on Pack of Yellamma Devotees, 2 Killed in the Mishap
Pragativahini News, Belagavi – Two Yellamma devotees were killed on the spot and four others injured when a Karnataka State Road Transport bus, which break was failed run over on temple near Jugulbhavi in Yellamma temple campus at Savadatti on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Nikita Ramesh Hadagal, 24, from Shahapur in Belagavi and Basappa Venkappa Halemani, 35, from Chinchakandi village. The deceased and injured were moving in a group of huge crowd, out from the temple after taking Darshan of Yellamma on occasion of “Banada Hunnime”.There would be a great disaster if the driver could not drove the vehicle side of the road.
All the injured have been admitted to the government hospital at Savadatti. The bus was heading to Dharwad from Savadatti Yellamma temple. The Savadatti police have registered a case.
