CM Yeddyurappa, Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar after online conference with the industrial sector of the state on Saturday have showed the green signal to commence with the stopped business where government can give every support in fighting the slowdown.
The chief minister hinted the industrial activity will resume and has asked the sector to be prepared to start industrial activity without any prior permission.
The CM has assured that he would instruct his office to form an expert committee consisting of government officials and representatives from industrial associations to assess the damage occurred to MSMEs due to economic slowdown and COVID crisis.
The CM has agreed in principle to support MSMEs with special financial package after the assessment is done by the expert committee.
To get protected from becoming victims to the virus, the CM has instructed to comply with MHA and WHO norms of social distancing, using sanitisers and masks to keep COVID infections at bay.
He mentioned that there will not be any legal action taken on the company, owner in case of detection of COVID positive patient.
He has also agreed to waive off minimum electricity charges, thereby billing based on consumption.
