Presently Anganwadis provide supplementary Nutrition, Immunization, Health checkup, Referral Services, Non formal Preschool education. This project will emphasize on the digital learning in the early age bringing out the best in the children of very young age promoting Non-formal pre-school education.
Hence it is considered necessary to uplift these Anganwadi’s by providing necessary infrastructure with respect to education, health and hygiene.
There are around 57 Government anganwadis, of which improvements of 11 Anganwadi have been taken up by CDPO. Out of 46 remaining, 3 anganwadi are in dilapidated state.
Excluding those 3 Anganwadis, which requires major repairs hence for time being not considered for the development.
The remaining 43 Government anganwadi schools have been taken up by BSCL, Belagavi for improvement in Civil and Electric Works. Out of 43 Anganwadi, 10 Anganwadi do not have toilets, Therefore, Proposal for Construction of 10 toilets have been taken up.
Apart from this, improvements with respect to inclusion of Playing equipment’s, Electronic Items, Kitchen Utensils have been taken up for 190 Anganwadi which includes both private as well as government out of 370 Anganwadi’s.
The Major items that are included in the Civil Works are Indoor and Outdoor Painting, Conceptual painting for kids, Vitrified tiles, Windows, toilets for few schools, Sump, Storage tank, Said Shashidhar Kurer, MD Smart City.
The DPR has been prepared for a total estimated cost of 4.40Crores, of which Civil Works and Electric work is of 2.14 Cr and Playing equipment’s, Electronic Items, Kitchen Utensils of 2.25Cr.
After the Execution of the Project, it is expected to see drastic changes. Expected improvement may be seen as shown in the pictures, he told.
