Technological growth has led to integration of technologies -Dr. Karisiddappa

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE INAUGURATED

Pragativahini News, Belagavi – A Three day International Conference on Recent Advances in Materials and Manufacturing (ICRAMM 2019) sponsored by AICTE was inaugurated at, KLE Dr. M S Sheshgiri College of Engineering & Technology, Belagavi.

Dr. Karisiddappa, Vice-Chancellor, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi (Karnataka) was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Function. Addressing the gathering he said technological growth has led to integration of technologies.

He said that the need for development of cheaper and environmental friendly materials for construction, manufacturing and in varied fields is the need of the hour. Interdisciplinary projects to develop real-time solutions have been the focal goal of researchers and educational institutes he added. Further he said that conferences of such nature allow like minds to share knowledge and collaborate to find research avenues and knowledge building.

Dr. Hendrik Simon Cornelis Metselaar, University of Malaya, Malaysia, was the guest of Honour. He appreciated the selfless service put by KLE society to educate students and for contributing to nation building. He also applauded the efforts taken by the institute to bring research community all over the globe on a common platform.

Dr. Parag Bhargava, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was also the Guests of Honor. He emphasized on novel dimensions of doing research and said that researchers need to focus on developing newer approaches to define problems and contribute to find solutions to these problems that can be useful to a common man.

Principal, Dr. Basavaraj Katageri welcomed the gathering and opined that this is an opportunity to make a mark in the elite League with meaningful publications to enhance career growth opportunities. He said that the conference aims for a great gathering of both industrial and academic professionals across the world in the fields of materials science and manufacturing. It provides a major forum for the exchange of information among the participating professionals in the areas of Materials and Manufacturing.

S.C. Metgud, Chairman, Governing Body, KLE Dr. MSS CET, Belagavi was the president of the function.  He wished a great learning experience to all the participating students, research and the academicians.

Dr. Tangaprakash of Diligentec solutions explained the process of filtering and scrutinizing the research papers.

Dr. C. V. Adake, Associate Professor and Program Committee Chair said that about 120 research scholars from India and abroad are attending the International Conference.
