KLS GIT Students won the “Golden voice of Belgaum”

Pragativahini News, Belagavi -Students team “ASAVARI” consisting  Raj Bichu,  Shreej Dhani and  Meghana Kulkarni  of KLS Gogte Institue of Technology, Belagavi have won the Golden voice of Belgaum -19 with a cash prize of Rs 25,000/-.

This is a singing competition organized by Rasik Ranjan held recently at Belagavi. In this, participants had to sing old Hindi film songs dating before 1970 and had to perform songs in various categories in solos as well as duets such as Patriotic, Classical, Comedy, Romantic, Sad, Ghazal, Festival, Nature, Folk, haunted and many more.

Some of the songs that GIT students presented were Aye mere pyaare watan, Ye duniya agar mil bhi jaaye toh kya hain, Aayega  Aayega Aanewalaa, Dil-e-naadaan, Diwana hua badal, Jhanak Jhanak tori baaje paayaliya, Nachemann mora, Govinda ala re ala , Meri jaanballeballe, Saaz ho tum aawaz hu main, Hum se aayanagaya, Raja kiaayegi baaraat, Babujidheerechalna and many more.

As a special appreciation, GIT management awarded Rs 10,000/- to each student.

At this occasion GIT Governing Council Chairman  M. R. Kulkarni, KLS vice president Ram Bhandare, KLS Secretary  Vivek Kulkarni, KLS Members  Vinayak Lokur and  S. V. Ganachari GIT Principal Prof. D. A. Kulkarni were present.
