Will Laxmi Hebbalkar, Congress MLA of Belagavi Rural constituency, join BJP? According to information available to Pragathivani, Laxmi Hebbalkar is also on the BJP’s list.
Laxmi Hebbalkar has already had one round of discussion with BJP leaders, sources said.
Hebbalkar is expected to take a decision by Sunday evening. None of the Congress leaders ever thought that Laxmi Hebbalkar might leave the Congress. Even chief minister cannot think of this.
Laxmi Hebbalkar is an influential leader of the Congress. She also served as president of the State Women’s Congress. She is also the Mysore Minerals Chairman. She has direct links with Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
But in many situation, Laxmi Hebbalakar is unhappy that the Congress leaders are not cooperating with her. No leader can come to her help, if any problems come up.
She is outraged that she has to face everything by her own strength. She may be overlooked in the belief that she will not leave the party for any reason. She upsets, Loyal workers are neglected in congress party.
Laxmi Hebbalkar contested from the Belagavi rural constituency in the last assembly election and gets more than one lakh votes. And has been elected against BJP’s Sanjaya Patil by a margin of over 50 thousand votes. She was elected by her own strength rather than party influence.
She has done a lot of development work in rural constituency in the last one year, and even before becoming a legislator.
Laxmi Hebbalkar may take a decision by Sunday evening. Once again, this is a big shock to the Congress party.
