Pragativahini News, Belagavi : The Belagavi City Corporation crossed Rs 1 lakh amount by collecting fine of those seen without facemask on the road.
As per the order of the district administration, the city corporation started collecting fine from May 1 and till Tuesday it collected Rs 1, 05, 190.
After, Belagavi was declared under Orange zone people were allowed to engage in economic affairs since 7am to 7pm provided people must wear facemask whenever out from the home, else fine would be imposed. Fine is also being collected from those spit in the public places.
Earlier, police used to collect the fine and now the Health and Finance department of the corporation is looking after the matter.
