*150 ವರ್ಷ ಹಳೆಯ ಬಾವಿ ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನ: ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರ*
ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ : ಪ್ಯಾಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಖಾಸಬಾಗ ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಬಾವಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ತಿಲಕವಾಡಿ, ಶಹಾಪುರ ಮತ್ತು ಖಾಸಬಾಗ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರುಣಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಜಲಮೂಲವಾಗಿದ್ದ, 150 ವರ್ಷಗಳಷ್ಟು ಹಳೆಯದಾದ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ಕಾಲದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಖಾಸ್ಬಾಗ್ ಮತ್ತಿಕೊಪ್ ಬಾವಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಾಳಾಗಿತ್ತು. ದಶಕಗಳ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದ ನಂತರ ಇದೀಗ ಪ್ಯಾಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಕೆಪಿ ಫೆರೋಕಾಸ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಮ್ಕೊ ಹೈಡ್ರಾಲಿಕ್ಸ್‌ನ ಸಿಎಸ್‌ಆರ್ ಫಂಡ್ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಬಾವಿ ಈಗ ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದಿನ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಈಗ ಹಿಂದಿನಂತೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾದ ನೀರು ಸುಮಾರು 30 ಅಡಿ ಆಳವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಬಾವಿಯು ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ 1,000 ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್‌ಗಳವರೆಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬತ್ತದೆ ಪೂರೈಸಬಲ್ಲದು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಸ್ಥಳದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಗಾರ್ಡನ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ರೋಶನ್‌ ಅವರು ಪ್ಯಾಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಆಯುಕ್ತೆ ಶುಭ ಬಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಂಡ ಬಾವಿಯನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಪ್ಯಾಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಪಾರ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು ಬೇಗ ನೀರನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಾದ ಶುಭಾ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಎಕೆಪಿ ಫೆರೋಕಾಸ್ಟ್ಸ್‌ನ ರಾಮ ಭಂಡಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಾಗ್ ಭಂಡಾರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಮ್ಕೋದ ಅನಿರುದ್ಧ ಮೋಹತ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ಯಾಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್‌ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ. ಮಾಧವ ಪ್ರಭು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ಯಾಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್‌ನ ಸದಸ್ಯರುಗಳಾದ ಅಭಿಮನ್ಯು ಡಾಗಾ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಕೋರೆ, ಸೂರ್ಯಕಾಂತ್ ಹಿಂಡಲ್ಗೇಕರ್, ಅವಧೂತ್ ಸಮಂತ್, ದೀಪಕ್ ಔಲ್ಕರ್, ಸತೀಶ್ ಲಾಡ್, ರೋಹನ್ ಕುಲಕರ್ಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಕಾಂತ್ ಪಸಾರಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
Revival of 150-year-old well: Handover to the corporation
Pyaas Foundation today officially handed over the rejuvenated Teachers Colony well to the Belagavi City Municipal Corporation in a grand event attended by dignitaries and citizens. The historic Khasbag Mattikop Well, a 150-year-old British-era structure once central to the communities of Tilakwadi, Shahapur, and Khasbag, has been revived after decades of neglect. Thanks to the joint efforts of Pyaas Foundation with CSR support from AKP Ferrocasts, and Bemco Hydraulics , the well has now regained its former glory.
The well, now boasting pristine blue waters and a depth of nearly 30 feet, can supply up to 1,000 tankers of water per day without running dry. Alongside the structural restoration, plantation work has also been undertaken around the site. The rejuvenated well was handed over by District Commissioner Mr. Mohammed Roshanji to City Commissioner Mrs. Shubha B.Speaking on the occasion the DC expressed great satisfaction at the work done by Pyaas Foundation and promissed full cooperation in the future activities of the foundation. Mr Shubha the commissioner promised to use the water to the fullest extent as soon as possible.
Mr. Ram Bhandare and Mr. Parag Bhandare of AKP Ferrocasts, along with Mr. Anuruddha Mohata of Bemco, were felicitated for their support. Dr. Madhav Prabhu, President of Pyaas Foundation, welcomed the guests and outlined the foundation’s mission. Members of Pyaas Foundation including Mr. Abhimanyu Daga, Mrs. Preeti Kore, Mr. Suryakant Hindalgekar, Mr. Avadhut Samant, Mr. Deepak Oulkar, Mr. Satish Lad,Mr Rohan Kulkarni and Mr. Laxmikant Pasari were present, along with a large number of enthusiastic citizens from Teachers Colony.
