Roshni Tejaswi Tirthalli of Divine Providence High School here has now secured second rank in Karnataka State in the SSLC examinations this year by securing 624 marks out of the total 625 marks after the revaluation of her marks.
Roshni had earlier scored 622 marks and was securing 4th rank in Karnataka and had stood first in Belagavi education district. However, confident of scoring better, the papers were sent for revaluation with Karnaka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) after which Roshni has scored additional one mark each in Kannada and Science, taking her tally to 624 marks.
Daughter of renowned ophthalmic surgeon Dr T S Tejaswi and renowned Gynaec surgeon Dr Raji Tejaswi, Roshni was also the Best student of the district held by Rotary, a National level rated chess player and Best girl and prime minister of Divine Providence. She is the granddaughter of retired Civil Surgeon Dr T L Srinivas.
Expressing joy over the results Roshni said that she was confident of scoring more and had sought revaluation of the papers. “ She had done extremely well in all her papers. She is blessed with phenomenal grasping power and memory since her childhood, hence she has achieved what she deserved the best,” Dr T L Srinivas, who personally coached her for Kannada said.
Meanwhile, Principal of Divine Providence Sr Mary too has expressed her happiness stating that Roshni has brought glory not only to the school, but also to Belgavi district. “She has been the role model for all our students,” she said expressing happiness.
Roshni like her father is interested in pursuing higher education in Ophthalmology.
