SCHOOL OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY INAUGURATED

‘There is a need of educated and skilled human resources, we have to focus on service sector in addition to training skilled professionals and the employment opportunities in the service sector has gone up’ said Shri Suresh Angadi,  Minister of State for Railways, Government of India.

He was speaking after inaugurating the KLE Graduate School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Belagavi established in the University campus.

Anil Benake, MLA, Belagavi City (North) was the Guest of Honour. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized on quality training and popularizing northern Karnataka cuisines with motherly touch.

Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chancellor and Chairman, KLE Society presided over the function.  Speaking on the occasion, he said the KLE was the first to start the KLE Hotel Management Institute in Karnataka at Bengaluru 25 years back. Keeping in view to extend the training in hotel management and catering, the KLE has established this Graduate School mainly to benefit the children’s of northern Karnataka and to empower them with the required skills in Hotel Management and Catering on par with international standards.

He also said that the KLE has signed three MoUs with the leading Star Hotels in Belagavi for training of the students.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vivek A.Saoji graced the function. Mahantesh Kavatagimath, Dr.Vishwanath Patil, The Members of the Board of Management of KLE Society, Principals of the constituent colleges and University officials were present. Dr. V.A.Kothiwale, Registrar welcomed and introduced the Chief Guest,   Dr. M.S.Ganachari, Deputy Registrar proposed vote of thanks.
