The Forum of Association of Belagavi (FOAB) has expressed its resentment over the issue failure of Belagavi city to avail new facilities and also to retain the facilities which have already been sanctioned. FOAB has said that only an organised fight would prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
In the back drop of shifting of airline service from Belagavi to Hubballi the FOAB had called a meeting on Tuesday. The office bearers of FOAB appreciated the efforts being made by Suresh Angadi and Dr. Prabhakar Kore -both MPs – to retain the airline facility.
All organisations in the city would join hands with the MPs and all other Public representatives who work for the development of Belagavi, the meeting said.
The meeting decided to honour the MPs next week for their effort to develop the city.
FOAB demanded that the continuation of all Airline services that connect Belagavi with rest of the country. More and more Airline services should be extended to Belagavi the meeting opined. The meeting decided to that different organisations in the city should write to chiefs of different airline services in this regard.
