Railway police with help of Murudeshwar police arrested two person who were allegedly indulged in the theft in the moving trains.
According to Railway police on wee hours of Tuesday Railway police in Bhatkal received the complaint regarding the theft in a train which was moving towards Kerala. Alex Joseph a resident of Natakkal in Kasargod district who was travelling Mumbai – Thiruvananthapuram Netravati express found some of his belongings were stolen at Murudeshwar.
Soon after the complaint Railway police from Bhatkal rushed to Murudeshwar and searched the entire railway area and the bus stand in the town. During the search RPF staff found two suspicious persons at bus stand and both were brought to Railway station. Later it was found that three persons were involved in the crime and only two have been arrested. The search for the other person is on.
The arrested persons are the resident of Madgaon in Goa have been identified as Salman Ansari, 25, and Suhel Khan, 22. During the CCTV analysis it was found that both the accused had alighted at Murudeshwar railway station from Netravati Express from the same bogey (S-9).
Police have recovered Rs. 18500 cash, four identity cards (Aadhar Card, PAN card, Election card and Driving Licence), two debit cards and three bangles of Yellow metal police said.
The RPF team led by RPF Inspector Deepak Sharma, Shashikala, Herambha Naik and others were involved in the search operation.
