A video in which state BJP president B. S Yeddyurappa had castigated Congress leader and minister D K Shivakumar for supporting JDS in state has gone viral after the Lok Sabha results.
A year ago when the coalition government led by JDS – Congress had just assumed power in the state. Yedyurappa while delivering speech in the state assembly had told DKS that ‘sooner rather than later Congress would repent its decision to support Kumaraswamy as Chief Minister. The father and Son (Devegowda and Kumaraswamy) duo will finish your party (Congress) in the state. Mark my words. If it do not happen then don’t call me Yedyurappa. You are the villain who is behind entire game plan and so I am telling this to you’ Yedyurappa had said. To this DKS had objected for calling him villain and Yeddyurappa had withdrew that word.
Now that ‘advice’ has gone viral after Congress and JDS bit the dust in the recently concluded LS polls. Both parties had won one seat each in the state which is the lowest tally in the history of Congress in Karnataka.
The video has been made viral to show that Yedyurappa had rightly forecasted the decimation of Congress which is riding on the piggyback of JDS to remain in power.
Reacting to this Yeddyurappa said that he had made this statement in the assembly by virtue of 40 years’ experience in politics. Now it has come true. I will decide next step after discussing with the national leadership of BJP. I will leave for Delhi on May 29. Newly elected MPs of BJP too will proceed to Delhi on same day. Next decision depends upon the step taken by JDS and Congress. Hope they will respect the sentiment of the voters. We will not invite Sumalatha to join BJP. If she joins BJP own her own we will welcome her, he said.
