ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜವು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಮಾಜವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಇಂದು ಅದು ಕವಲುದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗಿರುವುದು ದುರ್ದೈವದ ಸಂಗತಿ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಾಗಬೇಕು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಮಠಮಾನ್ಯಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಘಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅಸದಳವಾದುದು. ಸಂಘಟನೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಾಸಭೆ ಮಹಾಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಈಶ್ವರ ಖಂಡ್ರೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಸುಭಾಷನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಮಹಾಸಭೆಯ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವ ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಉಚಿತ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಹಾಗೂ “ ದಾನಿಗಳಾದ ಲಿಂ.ಶರಣೆ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣ ಬಸಲಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಬೆಲ್ಲದ, ಕಬ್ಬೂರ” ನಾಮಕರಣವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡದು, ಅನೇಕ ಮಠಮಾನ್ಯಗಳು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಧಾರೆಯೆರೆದು ಒಂದೆಡೆಗೆ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ, ಬಿಎಲ್ಡಿ ಅಂಥ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಅಗಾಧವಾದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿವೆ. ಒಂದು ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಸಮಾಜ ಇಂದು ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಮಹನೀಯರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅನನ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕವಾಗಿ ದುರ್ಬಲರಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಖೇದಕರವೆಂದರು. ಇಂದು ಡಾ.ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆಯವರ ಇಚ್ಛಾಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಡ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವುದು ಸಂತೋಷ ತಂದಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಶ್ರಮ ಅಗಾಧವಾದುದು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಸಭೆಯು ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 1000 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಹಾಸಭೆಯು ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಈ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದೆಡೆಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯೋನ್ಮುಖಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿಪುಲವಾದ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳಿವೆ. ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಓದಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆನೀಡಿದರು.
ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಸಭಾಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಹೊರಟ್ಟಿಯವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪತೊಟ್ಟು ಅನೇಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ನನಗಿದೆ. ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ, ಬಿವಿಬಿ, ಬಿಎಲ್ಡಿ ಅಂಥ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅನನ್ಯವಾದುದು. ಆದರೆ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಭಾಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಇಂದಿನ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದ ಕನ್ನಡಿ. ಒಳಪಂಗಡಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಾವು ಒಂದಾದಾಗ ರಾಜಕೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೆಂದರು.
ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಬಿ.ವೈ.ವಿಜಯೇಂದ್ರ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಒಡಕನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಒಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಒಂದು ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ರೂಪಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದ ಅಗತ್ಯವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಡಾ.ಕೋರೆಯವರು ಈ ವಸತಿನಿಲಯ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಸೇವೆಯು ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಅವರ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯಸಹಕಾರಗಳು ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಶರಣಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಡಾ.ಕೋರೆಯವರ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಚನಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಲಿಂಗಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ವಾಹಕರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಈ ಬಸವ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದ ಮಹಾಸಭೆ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ.ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆಯವರು “ಪದವಿ, ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸುವ ಅತಿಬಡ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ನಿಲಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನನ್ನ ಸದೃಢವಾದ ಇಚ್ಛಾಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಅಂದಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಯಕರಾದ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್.ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪನವರು 24 ಗುಂಟೆ ನಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಬೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕಿಸಿಕೊಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಹಾಯ ಸಹಕಾರವನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜ ಮರೆಯುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂದು ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯವು 3 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಈ ಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ಮಹತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬರೇ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತರುಂಟು, ಆದರೆ ಇದು ಸಮಾಜದ ಕೆಲಸ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅನೇಕ ದಾನಿಗಳು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳಾದ ಮಹೇಶ ಬೆಲ್ಲದ ಅವರು 1 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ದಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಉದಾರ ದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಉಚಿತ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿಯವರ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ “ಲಿಂ. ಶರಣೆ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣ ಬಸಲಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಬೆಲ್ಲದ, ಕಬ್ಬೂರ” ಎಂದು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಹಾಸಭೆಯು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ 21 ಕೋಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೋಣೆಗಳಿಗೂ ದಾನಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಯುವ ಬಡ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಮಾಜದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಿ. ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಉನ್ನತ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ರತ್ನಪ್ರಭಾ ಬೆಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ವೀರಶೈವ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಅನನ್ಯಸಾಧಕ ಡಾ.ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆಯವರ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಅಪ್ರತಿಮ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಉಚಿತ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯ. ಈ ಮಹತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ರೂವಾರಿ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಿ ಡಾ.ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆಯವರು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಡ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಶಕ್ತಿತುಂಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಿಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಚಲವಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಜ ಅನಂತ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕಾರಂಜಿಮಠದ ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಹಾಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಸಚಿವೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳಕರ, ಮಹಾಸಭೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶಂಕರ ಬಿದರಿ, ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ದಾನಿ ಮಹೇಶ ಬಿ. ಬೆಲ್ಲದ, ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ರಾಜು ಕಾಗೆ, ಮಹಾಂತೇಶ ಕೌಜಲಗಿ, ಶೈಲೇಂದ್ರ ಬೆಲ್ದಾಳೆ, ಎಂ.ವೈ.ಪಾಟೀಲ, ಗಣೇಶ ಹುಕ್ಕೇರಿ, ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ಪಾಟೀಲ, ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಶುಶಿಲ್ ನಮೋಶಿ, ಹನುಮಂತ ನಿರಾಣಿ, ಚನ್ನರಾಜ ಹಟ್ಟಿಹೊಳಿ, ಮಾಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾಂತೇಶ ಕವಟಗಿಮಠ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಡಾ.ಎಚ್.ಬಿ.ರಾಜಶೇಖರ, ಆಶಾ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆ, ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಜೀರಳಿ, ಜಗದೀಶ ಮೆಟಗುಡ್ಡ, ಡಾ.ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಆಶಾ ಯಮಕನಮರಡಿ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಡಾ.ಗುರುದೇವಿ ಹುಲೆಪ್ಪನವರಮಠ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾನಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ.ಮಹೇಶ ಬೆಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನಿತಾ ಬೆಲ್ಲದ ದಂಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು.
Lingayat community is at a crossroads; unity is essential: Eshwar Khandre
Inauguration of the Free Hostel for Veerashaiva–Lingayat Girl Students and
the naming ceremony of “Ling. Sharane Annapoorna Basalingappa Bellad, Kabbur”
Belagavi, Dec 11: The Veerashaiva–Lingayat community is one of the largest communities in the State, and it is unfortunate that it stands at a crossroads today. We must all unite. The contribution of pontiffs and various organisations to the field of education and to the growth of the community is immense. We must strengthen and advance our community through organised efforts, said Forest Minister and General Secretary of the All-India Veerashaiva–Lingayat Mahasabha, Eshwar Khandre.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Free Hostel for Veerashaiva–Lingayat girl students, constructed by the All-India Veerashaiva–Lingayat Mahasabha at Subhash Nagar, Belagavi, and after performing the naming ceremony in honour of the donors “Ling. Sharane Annapoorna Basalingappa Bellad, Kabbur.”
Khandre said that the Veerashaiva–Lingayat community is immensely powerful. On one hand, several pontiffs have expanded education and moved society forward; on the other, institutions like KLE, BVB and BLDE have made remarkable contributions. A community once economically backward has improved significantly due to the unparalleled service of many great leaders. Yet, it is painful that we are becoming socially weaker, he added.
He expressed happiness that, due to the vision of Dr. Prabhakar Kore, a free hostel has been built for poor girl students of the community. The Mahasabha has resolved to establish such hostels for girls in every district. A hostel for 1,000 students will soon be built in Bengaluru. The Mahasabha will soon begin work towards this goal, he noted. He urged girl students to make use of the vast opportunities available to them and to pursue education sincerely.
Presiding guest Basavaraj Horatti said that he felt proud to have implemented many schemes dedicated to girls’ education. Institutions like KLE, BVB, and BLDE have made invaluable contributions to society. However, internal divisions are a reflection of the unfortunate condition we face today. If we rise above these divisions and unite, we can gain political strength, he said.
BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra said that attempts are being made to divide the community from within, which is pushing the community backward. It is the need of the hour for the Veerashaiva–Lingayat community to emerge as a strong, unified force, he remarked.
Minister M.B. Patil said that the hostel built by Dr. Kore is a major contribution to the community. His service in the field of education is immense, and the government will always extend support, he assured.
Minister Dr. Sharanprakash Patil said that Dr. Kore’s commitment to ensure progress for girls of the community is highly commendable. Today, it is necessary to impart Vachana culture and the values of Lingapuja to our children. They must carry forward the Basava tradition. This hostel is a significant gift to the Veerashaiva–Lingayat community, he said.
Delivering the presidential address, Mahasabha Vice President Dr. Prabhakar Kore said:
“It was my long-standing wish to establish a hostel for extremely poor girl students who come to Belagavi seeking undergraduate and higher education. The community must never forget the support given by then Chief Minister and our leader, Sri B.S. Yediyurappa, who allotted 24 guntas of land at a concessional rate. The hostel has been constructed at a cost of more than ₹3 crore. All necessary facilities have been provided here.
Although the Veerashaiva–Lingayat community has wealthy individuals who could single-handedly build such an institution, it was my firm belief that this must be a collective effort of the community. Many donors came forward. Among them, renowned entrepreneur Mahesh Bellad contributed ₹1 crore, setting a great example of generosity. In honour of his mother, the hostel has been named ‘Ling. Sharane Annapoorna Basalingappa Bellad, Kabbur’.
The hostel currently has 21 rooms, each named after donors. I hope that the poor girl students who stay here will bring glory to the community and excel in their careers.”
Unit President Ratnaprabha Bellad, in her welcome address, said that Dr. Prabhakar Kore’s free hostel for girl students is yet another extraordinary contribution to the community. This initiative empowers poor rural girls educationally. The community expresses deep gratitude for his dedicated efforts, she said.
