The Government First Grade College (GFGC) of Khanapur organized IQAC and NAAC sponsored One day workshop on Career Guidance Counseling and Placement Opportunities on 12th February 2019. The college also hosted a Science Exhibition and Ancient coins and notes exhibition on the same day.
The Function was inaugurated by Vitthal Asode, Senior HR Manager, Training and Development, Asoka Iron Works Belagavi. In his speech, Asode highlighted the importance of dreams and goals in the life of a student. He gave them various tips on improving communication skills and for development of overall personality.
Dr. S. Rohit Raj, HOD of MBA Department, Jain College of Engineering and his team comprising Prof. Rashmi Harti, Prof. Varun Jewargi and Prof. Faiz Raut were invited as the resource persons. During the Technical sessions they covered topics like importance of Career planning, effective resume writing, Group Discussion skills and Interview Skills.
Bharat Kumar Sunagar, National Awardee (Philately) addressed the students regarding the importance of historical coins and note collection and how it can be pursued as a hobby by students also.
Dr. D.M. Jawalkar, Principal GFGC Khanapur, presided over the function. In his speech he highlighted the three important E’s in student life Education, Examination and Empathy.
Dr. Vidya Jirage welcomed the gathering and Dr. Bhagyashree Pattanshetti delivered the Inaugural adress. Dr. J. A. Jalihal and S.K. Mulimani chaired the technical sessions, Dr. Sonal Revankar hosted the function and Savita Badami delivered the vote of thanks.
