ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೋಷಕರ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ ಶುಲ್ಕವನ್ನು ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ಜೀವನೋಪಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಯಚೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ. ಶರಣಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಆರ್. ಪಾಟೀಲ್‌ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿಕಾಸಸೌಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುವಾರ ನಡೆದ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಸಂಘದೊಂದಿಗಿನ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ ಸಚಿವರು, ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ದುರ್ಬಲ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪೂರಕವಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಖಾಸಗಿ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಸಚಿವರು, ಈ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದವರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲ
ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂದವರು. ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಶುಲ್ಕ ವಿಧಿಸುವುದು ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವೀಕಾರಾರ್ಹವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕೋಟಾದಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 10,000 ರೂ., ಇತರೆ ಕೋಟಾದಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 1 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕೇತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ 1.4 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಶುಲ್ಕ ರಚನೆಯೇ ಈ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಮುಂದುರಿಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
“ಅನುಮೋದಿತ ಶುಲ್ಕಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಶುಲ್ಕವನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಲೇಜು ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂಥ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದರೆ, ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು.
ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 35,000 ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ 611 ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿವೆ. ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, 80% ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯಿಂದ ಭರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು 20% ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕೋಟಾದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (ಕೆಇಎ) ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಎಚ್. ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಚಿವರು ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಾಗದ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಅನಧಿಕೃತ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ. ಶರಣಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್‌ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
No Fee Hike for Nursing Courses This Year: Karnataka Govt Stands Firm
Bengaluru, July 10: In a strong message to private nursing colleges, the Karnataka government has announced that there will be no fee hike for nursing courses this academic year, reiterating its commitment to protecting students from economically weaker sections.
Medical education & skill development minister Dr. Sharanaprakash Patil made this clear during a meeting with the Association of Nursing Colleges held at Vikasa Soudha on Thursday.
“The government will not allow any fee increase. Most nursing students come from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Imposing additional fees is unjust and unacceptable,” said Dr. Patil, firmly rejecting the association’s plea to raise the fees.
He stated that the existing fee structure — Rs 10,000 under the government quota, Rs 1 lakh under the management quota and Rs 1.4 lakh for non-Karnataka students — will continue. “Any college charging more than the approved fee will face penalties and legal action. We will not hesitate to revoke their affiliation,” he asserted.
Currently, there are 611 nursing colleges in the state with around 35,000 seats. Of these, 80% are filled by the management, and 20% fall under the government quota.
The minister also directed Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) Director H. Prasanna to ensure reimbursement of fees to nursing colleges within 30 days. He further clarified that only the state government will decide on filling unallocated seats, closing the door to any unauthorized changes.
