State JDS president H Vishwanath tendered his resignation on Tuesday owing to the defeat in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls.
He submitted his resignation to H D Devegowda, the national president of JDS.
Vishwanath was upset for being sidelined in the party. Recently he had criticized minister Sa Ra Ramesh for his arrogance. Vishwanath had also criticized former CM Siddaramaih for his behavior.
