There is a big cauldron going on in Maharashtra Congress party and 25 of its MLAs are trying to join BJP.
Maharashtra is going for the assembly poll in end of this year and the move of the Congress MLAs has given a jolt to the party. According to Girish Mahajan, Water resource Minister of Maharashtra about 25 Congress MLAs are in touch with BJP and they may join the party at any time. Girish claimed that many of them have directly approached him and some have approached through the common friends. These MLAs are upset with the fight over the Lok Sabha ticket and groups in Congress and have decided to leave the party he said.
Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, a disgruntled Congress leader is all set to join BJP. Another Congress MLA Abdul Sattar who had been expelled from the party too would join BJP it is said. This is a saviour set back to Ashok Chauhan State Congress president and the BJP has planned to decrease strength of Congress and NCP, it is said.
Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil had decided to leave the party Congress denied ticket to his son Sujay who later joined BJP and won on BJP ticket. Seven time MLA Kalidas Kolambkar too has decided to quit Congress and has declared his support to BJP.
