Pragativahini News, Belagavi -Talk on “National Security and Role of Youth” organized By FINS (Forum for Integrated National security), at KLS Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic.
Aruna Sarap, member of fins briefed on the vision of fins which is to build a strong and Secure Nation. Col. Ramkrishan Jadhav, Aruna Sarap and Kishore Kakade were the Resource Persons.
Col. Ramkrishan Jadhav addressed the gathering by emphasizing on National security challenges and role of Youth to be played in it. He further said that we should always upgrade technologically if we wish to become an advanced nation. He opined that National resources should be guarded and we should make sure that we are always united against foreign adversaries. He concluded by saying that it’s not important what we do, but How we do it. He emphasized on internal security against the destructive threats & the role of youth to safe guard the country.
Kishore Kakade urged the students to become responsible citizens and also to become better Indians. Dr. S.K. Ambekar, Principal, Staff and students of all the disciplines were present during the talk. Vaishnavi B Compere, Vote of Thanks by Manjusha Magdum.
ROAD-SHOW
KLS’s Shri Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic, Belagavi organized “ROAD-SHOW” regarding “PLASTIC FREE” Environment/Campus under NSS Banner.
Plastic waste free campaign (Swachhata hi Seva 2019) had plastic free as one of the primary objectives to address the Environmental hazards being created by continuous use of plastics in the country. T
owards achieving this objective and in order to create awareness, a ROAD SHOW, was carried out regarding “PLASTIC FREE” awareness among citizens of Belagavi. All the students and staff of KLS’s Shri Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic actively participated in the procession and made it a huge success.
The procession was led by Dr. S K Ambekar, Prinicpal, KLS’s Shri Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic, from the KLS VPP campus.
The Route for the procession was KLS VPP campus- RPD – Goaves- first gate via Millennium Garden- First Gate- Via Deshmukh Road- College KLS VPP. The event was organized under the banner of NGO, NSS, LEAD and AICTE.
