ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: “ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಸ್ತೆ ಗುಂಡಿಗಳು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸರಕಾರದ ದುರಾಡಳಿತದ ಫಲ. ರಸ್ತೆಗುಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಲು ನಾವು ಬದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು 750 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ರವೀಂದ್ರ ಕಲಾಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಎಸ್ ಎಲ್ ಬೈರಪ್ಪನವರ ಪಾರ್ಥಿವ ಶರೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂತಿಮ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಗುರುವಾರ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದರು.
ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆಗುಂಡಿ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆಗುಂಡಿಗಳಿರುವುದು ನಿಜ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಲು ನಾವು ಕಾರ್ಯಪ್ರವೃತ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆಗುಂಡಿಗಳಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಎಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು, ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ನಾನೇ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ದುರಾಡಳಿತದ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಈ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬಗೆಹರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅನುದಾನ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗರು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ನಾವು ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಪಾವತಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ಅನುದಾನ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಬೊಮ್ಮಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಅನುದಾನ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ನಾವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹಿತ ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗರು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಆಡಳಿತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ-ಧಾರವಾಡ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರೆ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಸ್ತೆಗುಂಡಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಾ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದ ಅವರುಗಳು ಕೂಡ ತಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಭೈರಪ್ಪ ಅವರದ್ದು ನೇರ ನುಡಿ, ಗಟ್ಟಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ
“1994ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಕಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಭೈರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಅವರ ಪರಿಚಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರ ಮಾತು, ಬರವಣಿಗೆ ಸದಾ ನೇರನುಡಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದು ಬನಶಂಕರಿಯಿಂದ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲಾಗಿತ್ತು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
“ಅವರ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳು ವಿದೇಶಿ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾಷಾಂತರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮೂಡಿಬಂದಿವೆ. ಭೈರಪ್ಪ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಭೈರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಪದ್ಮ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಇಡೀ ದೇಶದ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಭೈರಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ನಿಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಂಬನಿ ಮಿಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ, ನಿಲುವು, ನಡೆ ಕೇವಲ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಸಮಾಜದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದರು.
“ಬಹಳ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ವಯಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೋರಾಟ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರದು ಬಹಳ ಗಟ್ಟಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ. ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಇವರ ಅಂತಿಮ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಸಕಲ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಗೌರವಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಂತಿಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಸಿಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಮನವಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಮನವಿಗಳು ಬಂದಿವೆ, ಈ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಜೊತೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕೆಲವು ತೀರ್ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಬಿಹಾರದ ಪಾಟ್ನಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಿಡಬ್ಲ್ಯೂಸಿ ಸಭೆಯ ನಿರ್ಣಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಈ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಇಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ಸಂವಿಧಾನಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮತ ಎಂಬ ಹಕ್ಕಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ನಾವು ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
Potholes in Bengaluru result of BJP’s misrule: DCM DK Shivakumar
Blaming the previous BJP government’s misrule for potholes in Bengaluru, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said that a grant of Rs 750 crore has been given to fill up potholes in the city.
Speaking to reporters after paying his last respects to well known author S L Bhyarappa’s mortal remains at Ravindra Kalakshetra, he said, “We are committed to fix the pothole issue in Bengaluru. The CM has released a grant of Rs 750 crore for this purpose.”
Asked about BJP’s protest against potholes in Bengaluru, he said, “It is true there are potholes in Bengaluru and we are filling them up on a war footing. We have also requested the police and the public to inform us the location of potholes. We are in this state due to the misrule of the previous BJP government. The protesting BJP leaders must understand that the Centre has not given any funds for Bengaluru’s development in spite of the city’s tax contributions. We will protect the interest of Bengaluru. Our party workers will protest against potholes in BJP ruled corporations in Hubli-Dharwad and other places.”
Asked if he would discuss the issue of potholes with industrialists, he said, “They are our friends but they also must realise their responsibilities.”
S L Bhyarappa was outspoken
“S L Bhyrappa was the President of the Kannada Sahithya Sammelana organised in Kanakapura in 1994. That was the first time I met him. His style of writing is direct and outspoken. His works have been translated to many foreign languages and many have become movies. His philosophy and stands as a guide to the society, not just to the literary world. He stepped into the literary world at a young age. He was outspoken and a strong personality. His last rites would be conducted with full state honours.”
Asked about an appeal for a memorial for him, he said, “There are appeals. I can’t take a decision individually on this. The CM will discuss this with everyone and take a decision.”
Replying to a question on decisions taken in the Congress Working Committee meeting in Bihar, he said, “I would not like to talk about it. We are committed to the Constitutional provision of one vote for one person.”
