Pragativahini News, Belagavi : Two people were killed on the spot and two others injured when the trolley of the tractor they were traveling in over turned at Bailwad cross in Bailhongal taluk on Saturday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Kariyappa Lakshappa Mandi, 66, and Malappa Madanur, 17, both from Hannikeri village in Bailhongal taluk.
The deceased and injured were traveling back with 25 to 30 cement bricks to their village after delivering cotton to APMC at Bailhongal. The trolley of the tractor, in which the deceased were sitting, overturned when driver was negotiating the curve at Bailwad cross. Injured including driver have been admitted at government hospital at Bailhongal.
The Bailhongal police have registered a case.
