Pragtivahini News, Gadag : People addicted to liquor disappointed much with the false news of reopening of liquor shops in the town from Wednesday. There were information circulated in the social media that only one hour in the morning the liquor outlets would be open till April 14 and later for regular hours.
Since the liquor shops were closed for nearly about ten days and many could not got from other sources had thronged to the MSIL outlet on Mudhol road in the town and stood in 2 lines in front of the closed shop. There were about 200 people standing in queue. A woman was also seen stood in queue.
The news reached to the police who rush to the spot, on seeing them the lines disappeared. Later, they realized they were made “April Fool”.
