Six persons were arrested and mobiles and cash were seized from them by the police in Belagavi. Police seized 5 mobiles and cash Rs. 1.79 which was allegedly used for the betting.
Police got a definite information that 5-6 people have indulged in betting at Sambhaji Garden in Market police station limits and betting on Kolkata Night Riders and Mumbai team. On the direction of senior police officers, Mahanteshwar Jiddi, ACP and Narayan Baramani ACP Market and their staff members I S Patil, Shivaling Patil, Shankar Patil, Naveen Kumar, A B Anil Ranjare, Khanapure, Vishwanath Hosamani conducted the raids.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rahul Rajaram Mannurkar, Abhishekh, Arun Patil, Vijay Madan Daddikar, Javed Iqbal Arkate, Ashraf Altaf Bankapur, Tausif Saleem Makandar. A case has been registered in the Market police station in this regard.
