One person was stabbed and another was beaten to death in Sirsi town on the night of Tuesday. Aneef Tahashildar, 22, president of Sirsi taluk BJP Yuva Morcha has been shifted to Mangaluru for treatment after he was stabbed multiple times by his rival gang it is said.
Aslam Babajan,22, a BJP activist and friend of Aneef was found dead on Wednesday morning in the same spot in Kasturaba Nagar area where Aneef was stabbed. According to the reliable sources there was a minor clash between Aneef and some persons belonging to his own community on Tuesday evening at Kasturba Nagar after the completion of the election. After intervention of some locals both the groups had returned it is said. Aslam was with Aneef at that time.
But on Tuesday night when Aneef had come out of some work a group of people attacked him with knives and stabbed him multiple times it is alleged. Later he was shifted to Mangaluru for treatment. On wedensday morning local people notice the body of Aslam neat the place where Aneef was stabbed. He was hit on his head with some hard material it is suspected. An iron rod was also found near the place where Aslam’s body was found
Police sent the body for the post mortem. A case has been registered in this regard. It is not clear whether the incident is related to the elections. Sirsi police are investigating the case.
