Pragativahini News, Belagavi : Belagavi- Janewadj bus conductor Muttappa Valmikhi was beaten by a gang at Janewadi village in Belagavi taluk on early hours on Thursday.
Conductor Valmikhi and driver MA Shaikh halted night at the village after taking last trip. Valmikhi had been to toilet when he was attacked by a gang which arrived in a car. Valmikhi identified two among the gang as Krishna Hosurkar and Kallappa Nayak who were said to be from Janewadi.
The reason for the attack was unknown. The ST Employees’ Forum of KSRTC has filed a complaint with Belagavi Rural Police, while the drivers’ association has urged the police to provide police protection on the bus crew who depute on halting.
