Pragativahini News, Belagavi : A six-member dacoits gang armed with sticks and iron made weapons beat a person and his son who chased them and later pushed them into a well. The person died while his son survived. The incident occurred at Bendwad village in Raibhag taluk in the early hiurs on Friday.
The deceased person has been identified as Mukund Metro, 38, and survived injured son as Raghavendra, 23.
The dacoits gang striked Metri’s house at around 2am, however, they were prevented by the family members who were awaken due to noice which made them to flee. Mukund and his son Raghavendra chased them with sticks and after moving little away the gang stood and beat the duo and later pushed into an open well at the roadside field.
Villagers who followed lifted them up from the well. Mukund was found dead. Raghavendra has been admitted at a hospital at Gokak town.
