ಡಾ. ಸಂದೀಪ್ ಶ್ರೀವಾಸ್ತವ ಅವರು ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ,(KAHER)ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಕುಲಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು
ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ : ಡಾ. ಸಂದೀಪ್ ಶ್ರೀವಾಸ್ತವ, MS, DNB (Ortho), Ph.D [HPE], PGM ಅವರು 20 ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 2026 ರಂದು ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ (KAHER), ಡೀಮ್ಡ್-ಟು-ಬಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಕುಲಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.
ಡಾ. ಸಂದೀಪ್ ಶ್ರೀವಾಸ್ತವ ಅವರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವತ್ತಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. KAHERಗೆ ಸೇರುವ ಮೊದಲು, ಅವರು ವಾರ್ಧಾದ ದತ್ತ ಮೆಘೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (DMIHER)ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ (ಜಾಗತಿಕ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳು) ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮೇಯೋ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕ್, ಕ್ಲೀವ್ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕ್, ವೈಲ್ ಕಾರ್ನೆಲ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಡ್ನಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿಶ್ವಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಹಕಾರವನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ Orthopaedics Surgeon ಡಾ. ಶ್ರೀವಾಸ್ತವ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 125ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಗಳು, 6 ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು, 16 ಕಾಪಿರೈಟ್ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು 3 ಪೇಟೆಂಟ್ಗಳಿವೆ. ಅವರು ಗಾಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ STARS ಥೆರಪಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನವ ರಕ್ತನಾಳಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ (Neoangiogenesis) SPIN ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಆವಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ವಾರ್ಧಾದ ಜೆ.ಎನ್. ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಡೀನ್ ಆಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಹು-ವಿಶೇಷತಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ (CEO) ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಡಾ. ಶ್ರೀವಾಸ್ತವ ಅವರು ಲೈಫ್ಟೈಮ್ ಅಚೀವ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್ (2023), ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್ ಐಕಾನ್ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್ (2023) ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕ ಸೇವಾ ಸಮ್ಮಾನ್ (2022) ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಭಾರತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮಂಡಳಿ, ರಸಾಯನ ಮತ್ತು ರಸಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯ, ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಐಸಿಎಂಆರ್ನ ತಜ್ಞ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
KAHERಗಾಗಿ ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿ (NEP 2020)ಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಹೊಸತನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವುದು ಸೇರಿದೆ.

Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava assumes charge as Vice-Chancellor of KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research, Belagavi
Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava, M.S. (Orthopaedics), DNB, Ph.D. (Health Professions Education), PGDM, assumed charge as Vice-Chancellor of the KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research (KAHER), Deemed-to-be-University, Belagavi on 20th February 2026.
Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava brings over three decades of distinguished experience in academic leadership, research administration and clinical practice. Prior to joining KAHER, he served as Executive Director (Global Affairs) and Chief Scientific Officer at Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER), Wardha, where he led international collaborations with world-renowned institutions including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Weill Cornell Medical School, and University of Sydney.
An eminent Orthopaedic Surgeon and researcher, Dr. Shrivastava has more than 125 research publications, 6 books, 16 copyrights and 3 patents to his credit. He is the inventor of STARS Therapy for wound management and SPIN for neoangiogenesis. He has served as Dean of J.N. Medical College, Wardha and CEO of multi-specialty hospital groups. His pioneering Ph.D. in Health Professional Education was the first of its kind in India.
Dr. Shrivastava has been honoured with numerous accolades including the Lifetime Achievement Award (2023), Education Icon Award (2023) and Rastriya Chikitsak Sewa Samman (2022). He has served on expert groups of the Medical Council of India, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India and ICMR.
His vision for KAHER includes advancing global competitiveness in higher education, aligning with NEP 2020, and fostering innovation and research excellence.
