Engineering graduates should convey the technology to the society: Said Swamy

Pragativahini News, Belagavi –In this growing era, it is vital responsibility of the engineering graduates that, they should convey the new developments in the field of technology to the society said Shreekanteswara Swamy, Head & Consultant for VGST – DST, speaking as a chief guest of the Toppers Felicitation Function here at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi on Sunday.

He also told that, today passed out engineering graduates who are working in the different areas, they should not forgot the Alma matter like colleges because they are the brand ambassadors of the institutes and also they should share any new technology or developments in the respective field with the institutes so that institutes can convey or implement related component in the curriculum which will help coming up graduates.

Today’s graduates and students should be very strict to the discipline of the company or institute, he said. Finally he appreciated the GIT tradition of honoring the meritorious students and told this kind of recognition from the institutes really boosts the confidence in the students and encourages the students to achieve more and more.

To achieve the continuity in the success these kinds of recognitions and appreciations are must by the belonging authority or institute he expressed. He highlighted about the developments in the field of science – technology and explained the opportunities available for young technocrats. Talking about the innovation he told that registering your new ideas i.e. protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) a very important because that can bring positive change in country economy.

U . N.Kalkundrikar, Chairman, GC, GIT  gave the presidential remarks. Prof. D.A.Kulkarni. Principal, KLSGIT welcomed the gathering. Prof. Balwant Patil introduced the Chief Guest. Dr. D.R.Joshi, HOD, Electrical & Electronics Department gave vote of thanks. Prof. Rashmi and Prof. Jahnvi was host of the function.  Department of Electrical and Electronics has coordinated the function. Toppers and their parents, Deans, HODs were present.

At this occasion 122 college toppers which included the University Rank holders were felicitated with cash rewards. The scholarships were also disbursed from the endowments instituted by alumni and few philanthropists.
