Establishing Technology Center at Belagavi by MSME Department

Pragativahini News, Belagavi – MSME Department officers visited Belagavi on Thursday, to identify the Land for the technology center which is going to establish by Central Government at Belagavi.

For this they need 20 Acers of Land from State Government free of cost.

Belagavi district Small scale Industries AssociationPresident  Rohan Juvali , Vice President  Mahadev Chougule & Managing Committee Member  Vaibhav Yadav had a meeting with  Major Singh, MSME Director & Cluster Development Surveyor, Government of India.

The proposed technology center will have the facilities like skill development Center, residential industrial training school/college for minimum 1000 students, Incubation Center, tool room, advanced manufacturing facilities for subcontracting the jobs of all industrial units and to support the msme’s in and around Belagavi District which is going to also help the Engineering Students & startup’s. The central government has planned to invest all these facilities with an approximate investment of 200 to 300 crores.

Government of  Karnataka has proposed them to give the land of  20 acres at Kittur Industrial Estate. but BDSIA President  Rohan Juvali proposed them to Make this project near by Udyambag, Machhe, Navage area which will help near by Industries and the students in an around. Also he explained them that already 3 Engineering College’s and  4 ITI Colleges, one technological university in this region.

After convincing the officials, President  Juvali took the delegation to show the land at piranwadi gram panchayat were he explained the officers that BDSSIA has identified the barren land (The land which is not used for agriculture) of 100 acres here to develop industrial layout for small and Medium Enterprises and out of this 100 acres President requested the joint director of DIC government of Karnataka to acquire 20 acres of land directly from the land owners and  hand it over the land to Central government for the development of Technology Centers.

After brief discussion Central government officials has agreed to develop at piranwadi gram panchayat and instructed the DIC joint director to send the proposal along with the required documents at the earliest.

In this meeting Murali, MSME Director, Chennai, Milind Barapatre, Dy. Director, MSME-DI, Hubli, Doddabasavaraj , JD, DIC, KIADB officers and other  members were present.
