Pragativahini News, Hubballi – Former Education Minister Basavaraj Horatti urged the government not to call teachers to the schools until teaching process started.
Horatti, representing teachers to the Legislative Council said as per the instructions of the government teachers going to schools from June 8 and going back home without any professional work. The intention of the government instructing the teachers to back to school without students was meaningless. Government in necessarily pushing the lives of the lakhs of teachers into risk of COVID-19.

Horatti one of the most senior members if the Legislative Council opined that it was enough that the education department would have instructed the educational institutions to assign principal and clerical staff to update the proceeding, asking teachers to be present in school was a foolish and meaningless decision, he added.
Government must rollback its decision on teachers and should not call them until classrooms for children open.
