ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಹಿಳಾ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 10ರಂದು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ KLE ಕನ್ವೆನ್ಶನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ KLE ಸ್ವಶಕ್ತಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಘಟಕದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪದ್ಮಶ್ರೀ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರಾದ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಕೋರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪದ್ಮಶ್ರೀ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಕೋರೆ ಅವರು, ಇಂತಹ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಸ್ವಶಕ್ತಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಘಟಕದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯವಾಗಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಾಸ್ತವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮನಕಲಕುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಅನೇಕ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಬೇಗ ಎದ್ದು ಮನೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ವಿಷಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ನಗರ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ, ದೇಶದ ಹಲವೆಡೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಕೊರತೆ, ದಾರಿದ್ರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಅಭಾವದಿಂದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದರು. ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರಿಗೂ ಸಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲೂ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು.
KLE ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಮತ್ತು ದೂರದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿಸಲು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಬಾಲಕಿಯಿಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರವಹಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಪದ್ಮಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿನಮ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮಪತ್ನಿ ಡಾ. ಆಶಾ ತಾಯಿ ಕೋರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮಿಗೆ ಸದಾ ಬೆಂಬಲವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತು ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದವರು ಅವರೇ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಇಂದು KLE ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 60% ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಇದು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣದತ್ತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ವಿಧವೆಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕಲು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸು ತುಂಬಾ ಕಲುಕಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಘಟನೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, KLE ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಿತು ಎಂದರು.
ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಸ್ವಶಕ್ತಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಘಟಕವು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಿಂದ ತಾವು ತುಂಬಾ ಭಾವೋದ್ರಿಕ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
KLE Swashakti Empowement cell for women felicitated Padma shri awardee Dr Prabhakar Kore during International women day celebration on 10th March,KLE convention centre.Padma Shri awardee Dr. Prabhakar Kore addressed the gathering on the occasion of International Women’s Day and TV warmly congratulated all the SwaShakti cell for women for organizing such a meaningful and inspiring event. He expressed that the programme deeply touched his heart and made the occasion even more emotional and memorable.
In his address, he reflected on the realities faced by many women, especially those living in villages. He spoke with concern about rural women who still wake up early in the morning, tirelessly carrying out household responsibilities and often neglecting their own health. He emphasized that despite the progress seen among urban women, many women across the country continue to suffer due to lack of education, poverty, and limited opportunities. Even girls from financially well-off families in earlier times did not always have access to education.
Dr. Kore proudly highlighted the role of KLE Society, which worked tirelessly to reach villages and remote areas, spreading awareness about the importance of education in Rudra areas. Through the establishment of schools and colleges, the institution has played a significant role in ensuring that every girl child receives the opportunity to learn and grow.
With great humility, he dedicated the credit for his Padma Shri award to his better half, Dr. Asha Tai Kore, acknowledging her unwavering support. He described her as the backbone of the family who managed responsibilities at home while standing beside him with constant encouragement and strength.
He also shared with pride that today more than 60% of employees in KLE institutions are women, reflecting the organization’s commitment to women’s empowerment. Recalling a touching incident where a widow approached him in tears, expressing her struggle to support her children, he was deeply moved. That moment inspired him to introduce a rule ensuring that security positions in KLE hospitals and KLE institutions would be offered to women, creating opportunities for those in need.
Dr. Kore concluded by expressing how overwhelmed he felt by the thoughtful celebration organized by SwaShakti cell for Women. He extended his heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to everyone involved for their dedication, warmth, and sincere efforts in making the event truly special.
