Pragativahini News, Belagavi: The Karnataka Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology (KLS GIT), Belagavi, one of the foremost engineering institutions in Karnataka, celebrated its 10th Graduation Day for the Class of 2026 on Saturday, 31st October 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Silver Jubilee Auditorium of the institute. The occasion marked yet another milestone in the institute’s 47-years-long journey of academic excellence.
The ceremony commenced with a ceremonial procession of dignitaries. Shri Rajendra Belgaumkar, Chairman, Governing Body, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, following which Dr. Vijay Athavale, Principal, presented the College Report, highlighting the institute’s accomplishments over the past year.
Chief Guest Prof. B. Ravi, Director, National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, addressed the graduating batch. He spoke on AI, ethics, emotion, compassion and service to the nation. He also underlined the need to absorb AI into one’s thinking and working. Shri Ram Kunchur, Founder and CEO, Biometrik Systems, Bengaluru, and a distinguished alumnus of KLS GIT (Class of 2007), delivered the Alumni Oration. He emphasised the importance of a strong foundation in the basics of coding, even in the era of AI.
The event was also graced by the esteemed members of the Management: Shri R. B. Bhandare and Shri D. V. Kulkarni, Vice Presidents of KLS; Shri V. M. Deshpande and Shri S. V. Ganachari, Secretaries of KLS; Shri A. K. Tagare, Chairman of KLS, Belagavi; and other members of the Karnataka Law Society, who were present to extend their good wishes to the graduating batch.
Degrees were conferred upon the graduates of the B.E., B.Arch., M.Tech., MBA and MCA programmes, while 42 meritorious students from various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes were felicitated with ranks and certificates of merit. In the days to follow, the individual departments will hold their Department Graduation Day, to which all students are cordially invited and at which their degrees will be formally awarded.
