ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ಕೆ.ಎ.ಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮಹೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಎನ್. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣದೇವರಾಯ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಅನ್ವಯಿಕ ಭೂ – ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಆಫ್ ಫಿಲಾಸಫಿ (ಪಿ.ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿ) ಪದವಿಯನ್ನುಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ಈ ಪದವಿಯು “ಭಾರತದ ಪೂರ್ವ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಕ್ರೇಟನ್ (Craton)ನ ಹಟ್ಟಿ-ಮಸ್ಕಿ ಭಾಗದ ಸಿಸ್ಟ್ ಬೆಲ್ಟ್ (Schist Belt) ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅರೆ-ಶುಷ್ಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಭೌಗೊಳಿಕ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆ” ಎಂಬ ಅವರ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಪ್ರಬಂಧದ ಮನ್ನಣೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಭೂ-ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ.ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ಹಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಎನ್ ಅವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಗೋಷ್ಠಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಪಾಠ ವಿಮರ್ಶಿತ ನಿಯತಕಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಪ್ರಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ballari district, has conferred the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Geology upon Sri. Mahesh Babu N, K.A.S., officers, Government of Karnataka effective 14th May 2026, as per notification No.: VISLKVIB/Ph.D Notification/Applied Geology/2026-27/256. The degree is awarded in recognition of his thesis titled, “Geospatial Analysis of Water Resource Development in the Semi-Arid Region of Hutti-Maski Schist Belt Area, Eastern Dharwar Craton, India.” The research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Basavaraj Hatti, Chairman, Department of Applied Geology. During his doctoral tenure, Mr. Mahesh Babu .N presented and published several research papers in national and international seminars and peer-reviewed journals.
