Pragativahini News, Belagavi : A newborn male infant found on the premises on the Basavanna temple near Canal office at Mugalkod in Raibag taluk in the wee hours on Thursday.
The baby was wrapped in towel, put in a cloth bag and left. The baby might have left by around 4am as people heard baby crying by that time.
As people gathering, ASHA workers, Health staff and police rushed to the spot. The baby which was fed sugar mixed warm water was rushed to the primary health centre at Mugalkod and than shifted to Belagavi hospital.
The cloth bag in which the baby was put has a the name, address and phone number of a shop based on which police tracing the parents of the abounded baby.
