Platform Fare at Belagavi,  Hubballi,  Bellari Rly Stns Raises to Rs 50 from Rs 10

Pragativahini News, Belagavi  : To avoid crowd at busy railway stations and to put its passengers lives into high risk,  the railway department has raised the platform fare from Rs 10 to Rs 50 from 19th to 31sth March.

Though the raised fare was many fold more than the actual fare, the department said it was just to avoid more relatives,  friends from avoiding to the stations to say off or to receive, to avoid spreading the COVID-19 Virus.
The three stations are listed as thickly gathered when a few destination train arrives where people arrive to drop and wish them happy journey. “We expect that thick crowd at the stations could be reduced with hiked platform fares, it is nothing but made for the public health interest and not to earn income”,  said the department.
