Pragativahini News, Shivamogga : While, the police brutal canning on the people who sees outside the houses was shocking the people and being condemned everywhere, a farmer died while he was being beaten by the group of police at CM Yeddyurappa’ home district Shivamogga on Sunday.
50-year-old farmer Laxman Nayak from Sunnadkop village in Shikaripur taluk was returning home after feeding water to the crop of his field. Despite told he was going home back from the field he was allegedly beaten badly by a group of 4-5 police.
He collapsed down and died while he was being beaten. Villagers alleged that Laxman Nayak was died because of police caning, while Shivamogga SP KM Shantraj said he died due to cardiac arrest.
The autopsy report from Shivamogga is being awaited.
