Police have warned that they would seize the vehicle if the parking rules are violated. Two towing vehicles have arrived at Belagavi and a special team to tow the vehicle is also posted. If parking rile is violated, then the violator has to pay the fine and in addition to that he had to pay the towing charges which is 6-7 times of the fine.
But the question is can police take away all the vehicles that violate the rules? The answer is emphatic NO.
Before taking away the vehicle the police should make announcement three times and warn the owner about the wrong parking. If the owner of the vehicle arrives immediately on the spot police should not tow the vehicle. Instead they can impose the fine. Police should take utmost care while towing the vehicle and should not damage it. If the vehicle suffers the damage, then the concerned police are responsible for the damage.
In Bengaluru everyday there are hundreds of the complaints against towing. Police have to struggle to manage such complaints
