Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Belagavi on April 18 and Vice President Venkaih Naidu would visit the city on April 25 and the preparation is on for the visit of dignitaries.
Tushar Girinath, Regional Commissioner has given the instruction to the officials to provide adequate security and maintain the protocol during the visit of PM and VP.
A meeting was held in this regard on Tuesday at deputy Commissioner’s office Tushar Girinath Presided over the meeting. PM would arrive at the Belagavi Airport and from there he would proceed to Chikkodi by helicopter. VP would arrive here to participate in the function being held at KLE on April 25 and would arrive one day prior to the function. No lapses should be made and officials should take care of it Tushar said.
Belagavi city police commissioner and SP should make appropriate arrangement. The medical facilities should be inspected by the officials of district level. The helipad should be built by the PWD officials for the visit of PM. The food department officials should take the care of the food to be taken by the VIPs he instructed.
H. G Radhavebndra Suhas, IGP who addressed the meeting said that the power supply at the place of PM’s programme should be provided for the stage and gathering separately. Dr. Vishal provided the information about the security arrangements during the VIP visit. Other senior officials of different departments were present.
