*ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು: ಆರ್‌.ಅಶೋಕ ಆಗ್ರಹ*
ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ವಿಧಾನಪರಿಷತ್‌ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ದ್ವೇಷ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷ ನಾಯಕ ಆರ್‌.ಅಶೋಕ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮದ್ದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣೇಶ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ವಿಸರ್ಜನೆ ವೇಳೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ತೂರಾಟ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ್‌ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಸತ್ತರೆ ತಮಟೆ ಬಾರಿಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ, ಮದುವೆ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾದ್ಯ ಬಾರಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಇದೆ. ಆ ಮಸೀದಿಯನ್ನು ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಲು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿ ಅವರು ದ್ವೇಷ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಜಿಂದಾಬಾದ್‌ ಅಂದರೂ ಕೇಸು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲು ಸಚಿವರ ತಂಡ ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗುಬಾಣವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಈ ರೀತಿ ದ್ವೇಷ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಕೂಡ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಇಂತಹ ದ್ವೇಷ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ವಾಪಸ್‌ ಪಡೆಯಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು, ಉಡುಪಿ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ಮಂಡ್ಯ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೃಷಿ ಸಚಿವ ಚಲುವರಾಯಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರೇ ಕಲ್ಲು ತೂರಾಟ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಎಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ರಮ ಜರುಗಿಸಲಿ. ಮಸೀದಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಕೂಡ ಅದನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರಲ್ಲೇ ಭಾರತದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ಎರಡು ತಂಡ ಇದೆ. ನಾವೇನೂ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಬ್ದುಲ್‌ ಕಲಾಂ ಅವರನ್ನೇ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಶಿಶುನಾಳ ಷರೀಫರ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಕವಿ ನಿಸಾರ್‌ ಅಹ್ಮದ್‌ ನನ್ನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಹೆಸರು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಐದೆಕರೆ ಜಮೀನು ಕೊಡಿಸಿದ್ದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮಿ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಮಗೇನೂ ತಕರಾರಿಲ್ಲ. ದ್ವೇಷ ಕಾರುವ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರನ್ನು ನಾವು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಶಾಸಕ ಬಿಕೆ ಸಂಗಮೇಶ್ವರ್ ಈಗಲೇ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮ್‌ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮತಾಂತರವಾಗಲಿ. ಉಳಿದ ಶಾಸಕರ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಕೂಡ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟೌಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದಾಗಲೇ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಖಚಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ತಾಲಿಬಾನ್‌ ಸರ್ಕಾರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಇವಿಎಂ ತಂದಿದ್ದೇ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್
ಅಟಲ್‌ ಬಿಹಾರಿ ವಾಜಪೇಯಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಬ್ಯಾಲೆಟ್‌ ಪೇಪರ್‌ ಇತ್ತು. ನಂತರ ಮನಮೋಹನ್‌ ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವಿಎಂ ಬಂತು. ಆಗ ಇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇವಿಎಂ ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಎರಡು ಚುನಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಗೆದ್ದಿದೆ. ಉಪರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಡಿ ಕೂಟದ 15 ಜನರು ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೆಬ್ಬೆಟ್ಟು ಚುನಾವಣೆ ತರುತ್ತಾರೆಯೇ? ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದಿಮಾನವ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಾದರೆ ಬ್ಯಾಲೆಟ್‌ ಪೇಪರ್‌ ಬಳಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಿಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ತಯಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಜನರ ಮನಸ್ಸಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷಬೀಜ ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವಿಎಂ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಪ್ರನಾಳ ಶಿಶು. ಈಗ ಅದೇ ಸರಿಯಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಇದನ್ನು ತಂದಿದ್ದು ಏಕೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲಿ. ಇವಿಎಂ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲೂ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ ಹಾಕಿದ ಸವಾಲನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಫಿಡವಿಟ್‌ ಕೊಡದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾವುದೋ ಸುಳ್ಳು ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಹದೇವಪುರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈಗ ಯಾರೂ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಎಂತಹ ಹೀನಾಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಇದರಿಂದ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಜಿ.ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರ್‌ ಅವರು, ಎಬಿವಿಪಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅಬ್ಬಕ್ಕರಾಣಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಬೇಡ ಎಂದರು.
Government Should Withdraw Case Against MLC C.T. Ravi: Opposition Leader R. Ashoka
The government should withdraw the case filed against Legislative Council member C.T. Ravi, as he has not made any hate speech, said Opposition Leader R. Ashoka.
Speaking at a press conference, Ashoka stated that a large-scale bandh was observed in Maddur to protest stone-pelting during a Ganesha idol immersion. He highlighted that local traditions prohibit playing drums during funerals or wedding processions, yet an illegally constructed mosque has caused unrest. He said they went there to support the local Hindus and deliver speeches. He emphasized that C.T. Ravi did not engage in hate speech. Ashoka pointed out that no cases were filed when Muslims allegedly raised “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans, but a case was filed against C.T. Ravi. He accused the government of forming a team of ministers to file such cases, warning that this could backfire on the government.
Ashoka cautioned that if the government indulges in such divisive politics, the BJP might respond similarly when in power. He noted that previous chief ministers did not engage in such hate politics and demanded the immediate withdrawal of the case against C.T. Ravi.
He mentioned that such incidents were earlier limited to Chikkamagaluru, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada but are now occurring in Mandya and Mysuru. Agriculture Minister Cheluvarayaswamy has admitted that Muslims were involved in the stone-pelting, and the mosque president has also acknowledged it. Ashoka urged the police to take strict legal action. He clarified that there are two groups among Muslims—one against India and one in favor of it. He stated that the BJP has no issue with patriotic Muslims, citing their support for Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as President, admiration for Shishunala Sharif’s songs, and providing five acres of land to preserve the legacy of poet Nissar Ahmed in his constituency. However, they oppose Muslims who spread hatred.
Ashoka criticized Congress MLA B.K. Sangameshwar, suggesting he convert to Islam immediately, claiming other Congress MLAs share a similar mindset. He accused them of consistently supporting Muslims, as evident from their actions during cutout installations in Shivamogga, likening the government to a “Taliban regime.”
“Congress Introduced EVMs”
Ashoka noted that during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure, ballot papers were used, and EVMs were introduced under Manmohan Singh’s government. Congress did not oppose EVMs then and won two elections using them. He questioned why Congress now criticizes EVMs, pointing out that 15 members of the INDIA alliance voted against their candidate in the Vice-Presidential election. He sarcastically asked if they would resort to “thumbprint elections” next. In the digital age, where information is accessed via mobile phones, reverting to ballot papers would be regressive, he argued. He accused Congress of sowing seeds of doubt in people’s minds due to their lack of influence in states like Bihar. Ashoka emphasized that EVMs have been validated by the Supreme Court, and Congress failed to accept the Election Commission’s challenge, resorting to false documents. He claimed no one now discusses the Mahadevapura constituency, alleging Congress is trying to mislead the public, revealing their deplorable state.
Regarding Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar’s participation in an ABVP-organized Abbakka Rani event, Ashoka said there was nothing wrong with it and urged against politicizing the matter.
