“Shaikh Carnival” was organized at Shaikh Campus, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Naik Alimraja Shabadi, 22 Maratha Infantry. The other dignitaries present during the inauguration ceremony were Dr. M.J. Attar, Chief Coordinator, Shaikh Group of Institutions and Ms. Roopavali Sakri, Principal, Belgaum Institute of Management Studies.
The carnival included many events which act as a platform for students to unleash their talents in various events like Lan gaming, Football, Drawing, Mehandi competition, Dance competition etc. The platform provided the students to demonstrate their talent, marketing, leadership, technical skills and application of theoretical skills in practical world by mounting 30 different stalls ranging from mouth-watering sweets to exciting games, from delicious chats to eye-catching novelty, song dedication, dance floor and much more.
With the carnival atmosphere and a wide range of activities including live music, various stalls, there was something for everyone.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. M.J. Attar greatly appreciated the organizers for organizing the event which shows creative ideas of the students. He encouraged the organizers to conduct more of such events which clearly reflect student’s creativity, innovative and commitment when given the freedom and encouragement to be accountable for their actions.
