The file disposal week in the revenue department has begun today and will continue till the end of this months, according to R V Deshpande, Revenue minister.
He said that the files which have been pending for a long time will be disposed with the normal files. Transparency will be maintained and rules will be strictly adhered to, while disposing the files he said. The heads of the department and Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to guide their subordinates how to dispose the files.
Last year too such file disposal week had been observed in the month of November and about 2.50 lakh files had been disposed he said. All files that have been disposed will be listed and the heads of the department have been directed to provide the list of pending files after the completion of the file disposal week, Deshpande added.
